Inline PCB Saw Depaneling Machine EXE-380AT
The EXE-380AT separates V-scored panels with a carbide-tipped saw blade instead of a router bit. Boards feed in on the track, the CCD camera finds the Mark point, and the saw runs the V-groove in both X and Y — the blade rotates 90° between directions.
Sawing puts less strain on the board than milling. At a blade linear speed of 3,200 m/min, separation stress stays under half of what a router-bit machine produces. That is the reason to pick this machine over a milling router when your panels are V-scored.
Cutting accuracy is ±0.05 mm, repeat positioning ±0.01 mm, on panels from 50 × 50 mm to 350 × 380 mm and 0.4 to 3.6 mm thick. Components up to 10 mm tall clear the blade.

Features & Advantages
High-Speed, Low-Stress Saw-Cut Separation with CCD Vision & Mistake-Proof Safety
1. Fully Automated Operating Process
- Seamless Automated Workflow: Automated Board Infeed > Transfer to Cutting Zone > Tool Wear/Breakage Check (programmable cutting limit per blade) > CCD Vision Alignment (Mark point offset compensation) > X-Axis Cutting > Blade Assembly Angular Rotation > Y-Axis Cutting > Final Depaneled Board Discharge.
2. High-Precision & Low-Stress Cutting Performance
- Smooth & Burr-Free Edges: Delivers clean cut faces with zero edge chipping, burrs, or delamination, ensuring high dimensional consistency.
- Ultra-Low Mechanical Strain: Operating at a blade linear speed of 3200 m/min, separation stress is reduced to less than 50% of standard router-bit depaneling.
- High Throughput & Precision: Achieves cutting speeds exceeding 100 mm/s with an equipment repeatability of +/- 0.01 mm and finished board tolerance within +/- 0.05 mm.
3. Extended Blade Life & SMT Component Clearance
- High-Temperature Wafer Blade (79 mm Max Diameter): Uses premium, heat-resistant wafer-cutting blades. The larger 79 mm diameter maximizes blade lifespan and provides clearance for PCBA components up to 10 mm in height.
- Automatic Z-Axis Blade Wear Compensation: Automatically adjusts the Z-axis height as the blade wears down, triggering an automatic alarm once the preset life limit is reached.
4. Poka-Yoke (Mistake-Proofing) & Quality Safeguards
- Vision Alignment Alarm: Triggers an instant error alert if the PCBA is incorrectly placed, misaligned, or belongs to a mismatched product model during Mark point recognition.
- Vacuum Hold-Down Verification: Integrated negative pressure sensor monitors board fixation in real time and alarms if vacuum suction fails or drops below threshold.
5. Utility Requirements
- Power Supply: Single-Phase 220 VAC, 60 Hz.

Application
Panels where the V-groove is hard to reach: components sitting close to the score line,
wire stitches across the back, parts shielding the groove from behind.
These are the boards that break when separated by hand.

Configuration introduction

Horizontal gantry structure
Gantry mounted horizontally - symmetric, rigid,
and stable under cutting load.
Track-type automatic clamping
The track senses whether the fixture is seated, then clamps it automatically.
Boards are held flat before the saw starts.

Dual-platform protruding structure
The platform overhangs so the machine can dock with the next station:
tray loader, robot arm, dimension inspection, or automatic programming.
Automatic unloader
The track feeds the panel in and a handler places it on the cutting platform.
No operator needed at any point in the cycle.

Saw drive, 500 W / 13,000 rpm
Stable cutting, smooth cut face.
The blade rotates 90° to cut V-grooves running in the other direction.

Products Design
- Why sawing puts less strain on the board
A router bit grinds the board away. The saw blade shears the residual web at 3,200 m/min, so the panel takes far less load - measured at under half the strain of router-bit depaneling on the same panel.
- Why the sealed chamber with a 45° port matters
Cutting dust that swirls inside the chamber settles back onto the board and the rails. The sealed lower chamber with the port angled at 45° stops the vortex, so dust goes out instead of recirculating.
- Why the dual platforms protrude
The overhang lets the machine hand the board straight to the next station - tray loader, robot, inspection or programming - without a separate transfer unit.

FAQ
Q: What panels can the EXE-380AT cut?
A: V-scored panels from 50 × 50 mm to 350 × 380 mm, 0.4 to 3.6 mm thick. FR-4, aluminium-backed LED boards, CEM-1 and copper base boards. Components up to 10 mm tall clear the blade.
Q: Saw or router - which one do I need?
A: If your panels are V-scored and you separate along straight grooves, the saw is faster and puts less strain on the board. If you need curved outlines, L-shapes or tab routing, you need a routing machine. Send us the panel drawing and we will tell you which fits.
Q: How much stress does it put on the board?
A: Measured separation stress is under half of what a router-bit machine produces on the same panel. If you work to a strain limit, tell us the number and we will test your panel and report the result.
Q: Can it cut both directions?
A: Yes. The blade rotates 90°, so it runs V-grooves in X and Y on the same panel without re-fixturing.
Q: What happens when the blade wears?
A: The Z-axis compensates automatically as the edge wears. You set the number of cuts per blade in the software, and the machine alarms when the limit is reached.
Q: Can it run unattended?
A: Yes. Track infeed, automatic clamping, CCD alignment, cutting and unload all run without an operator. It can dock with a tray loader, robot arm or inspection station downstream.
Q: What do you need to give me a quote?
A: Panel drawing or sample boards, board material and thickness, V-groove residual thickness, and target throughput. Send us samples and we will cut them and return the pieces with a video before quoting.
Troubleshooting
Accuracy drifts off
Usually the tool centre and the CCD centre no longer match. Reset both centre coordinates and check that the mounting surface is stable.
All three servo drives alarm at once
Points to a short circuit. Inspect the external sensors and drive cables for damage. Clear the fault, then power-cycle the machine.
An axis jams
Usually something is blocking it. Switch off the main power, disconnect the servo motor, and push the axis by hand to check it moves freely.
Won't return to home, servo trips
Often dust on the sensor or a loose connector. Clean the sensor, then check the connector is seated.
